Jessica Barrie
Jessica Barrie is an artist, curator and writer based in the North East of Scotland.

She is interested in systems underpinning our societies and worldviews, social justice and ecology.








With nearly seven years of curating in an accredited museum and art gallery, their exhibition making centres around decolonisation in museums, women's histories and making, as well as climate justice and ecologies.

Projects include working with communities for a forthcoming show around portraiture; commissioning project Self Portrayed which includes artists like Annalee Davis and Arpita Shah; supporting Grace Ndiritu's week long workshop for British Art Show 9.





Their visual art has been shown in numerous festivals in Aberdeen and London, as well as a group show in g39, Cardiff.

Talks and press includes: 3-part YouTube series for Art UK Visits and Sotheby's exhibition London: An Artistic Crossroads, as well as many public events for multi-need audiences.
